Coca-Cola Enterprises has announced a new goal to reduce carbon footprint by 15 percent by 2020 as part of its five strategic Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability (CRS) focus areas.

The world’s largest marketer, distributor, and producer of Coca-Cola products made the announcement while releasing its fourth company-wide Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability (CRS) Report, Our CRS Journey…Delivering on Our Commitments.

John F. Brock, chairman and chief executive officer, said in a statement, "Even during difficult economic times, our commitment to CRS has never been stronger, and our quantifiable Commitment 2020 goals demonstrate the progress we are making on our journey."

The company’s five strategic CRS focus areas are:
  • Energy Conservation/Climate Change: Reduce the overall carbon footprint of the company’s business operations by 15 percent by 2020, as compared to a 2007 baseline.
