Dr. Christina Lampe-Onnerud has won the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2009 Award in the clean tech category for the New England region.
This prestigious distinction recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who are building and leading dynamic, growing businesses.
Speaking at the award ceremony, Kristin Keating, Ernst & Young LLP Entrepreneur Of The Year Program Co-Chair for New England, said, “We are proud to recognize the achievements of Dr. Lampe-Onnerud.”

In March ’09, Boston-Power became the first U.S.-based firm ever to provide battery technology to a global notebook PC vendor. The result of a three-year relationship with HP, Boston-Power’s Sonata battery cells serve as the foundation for a new ‘green’ battery HP has branded the Enviro Series of Notebook Batteries.
As a New England award winner, Dr. Lampe-Onnerud qualifies for the national entrepreneur of the year award to be announced on November 14, 2009, at an awards gala in Palm Springs, California.
